Visit Tenryu-ji Temple in Arashiyama on a day trip from Osaka.

Tenryu-ji Temple was built in 1339 by Shogun Ashikaga Takauji to commemorate Emperor Go Daigo.

Tenryu-ji Temple is one of the five major temples of the Rinzai sect of Zen and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994.

It is known for its beautiful architecture and stunning Japanese gardens.

You can continue walking through the bamboo grove, but if you want to return the same way, you'll need to purchase a ticket to enter the temple.

Tickets for the temple and garden are separate.
