[Okinawa] A photogenic cultural facility where you can learn about Okinawa's nature, history, and culture🏛️

Do you know this place?

This is r e i n a, who searches for photogenic places while traveling📷

This time, I will introduce "Okinawa Prefectural Museum and Art Museum (Okimyu)" in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture💡

This is the largest cultural facility in the prefecture where you can enjoy Okinawa's rich nature, history, culture, and art all at once☺️

The exterior is modeled after an Okinawan castle (gusuku), and the mesh-like entrance was very beautiful~☺️

The interior atrium is lined with tree-shaped columns, creating an impressive space where sunlight filters through the trees🏰

At the museum, under the theme of "living on the sea and islands," you can learn about Okinawa's nature, history, and culture, as well as exhibits that unravel the history of the birth and fall of the Ryukyu Kingdom, post-war Okinawa, and the future, and traditional storehouses and folk houses are also on display outside!

In addition, at the museum, you can enjoy paintings, sculptures, and video art that have been cultivated in the Okinawan climate, and you can enjoy modern and contemporary art as well as Japanese and Asian works🖼️

There is also a cafe and shop☕️
