It is the head temple of the Jodo sect Nishiyama Zenrinji school, and is called Zenrinji Temple. It was founded in 853 by Kukai's disciple Shinsho✨

It is one of the best places to see autumn leaves in Kyoto, and is also known as Eikando of Maples✨
The entrance fee is higher during the autumn leaves season, but it is recommended because it is lit up at night and you can experience the four seasons✨

Opening hours: 9:00~16:00, 17:30~20:30

Entry fee: 1,000 yen for adults, 400 yen for elementary, middle and high school students
