Traveling from Penang to the vacation destination of Langkawi can be done not only by plane but also by taking a cruise, which is a more budget-friendly option. The cruise terminal in Langkawi is located in the southwestern corner of the island, and the final stop is the hotel you'll be staying at—Resorts World Langkawi.

The hotel is quite old, and its facilities are somewhat outdated. Cleanliness and maintenance could be better, but fortunately, we were assigned a relatively newer room. Staying for one night is acceptable. The best feature of the resort is its stunning sea view and outdoor pool. Overlooking the cruise terminal, the view of the sea and sky blending together truly gives off a tropical island vacation vibe.

The most basic 28-square-meter standard double room costs only NT$1,500 per night on weekdays. Adding breakfast for two costs an extra NT$1,000, making it quite a good value. The environment is quiet and peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle, making it ideal for various water activities, as well as enjoying the beach, sunrise, and sunset.
