GIANT Buddha - Leshan

Carved out of a hillside, overlooking the confluence of two rivers - this site is a testament to the dedication and skill of ancient Chinese craftsmen.

The hike offers amazing views of the statue as well as the surrounding areas - rivers and the city. Visitors can take a boat to get a complete front view of the statue, however, that option was not available during our visit. The trip was worth it nevertheless.

Bring some snack and plenty of water - refueling options on the site are existent, but limited. We drove our own car, but the public transport options seemed plenty, as it is rather developed tourist area.
