Lost in Lijiang: A 3D2N Journey into Ethnic Charm, Locals’ Warmth, and Chill Vibes

Day 1: Exploring Li Jiang

After visiting Tiger Leaping Gorge, I made my way to the Black Dragon Pool (黑龙潭), a serene and picturesque spot perfect for unwinding after the adventure. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains and ancient architecture, the pool offered a striking contrast to the gorge’s ruggedness.

The rest of the day was spent exploring the charming Old Town of Li Jiang (大研古城), where cobblestone streets, vibrant local markets, and traditional Naxi architecture made me feel as though I had stepped back in time.

Dinner at a cozy spot in the ancient town added a culinary highlight, and the option to stay in this historic town made the experience even more magical.

Day 2: Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and more! 🗻

An early breakfast fueled the exploration of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (玉龙雪山), where I marveled at its pristine peaks and vibrant Blue Moon Valley (蓝月谷). I also wandered through Yun Shan Ping (云杉坪) before enjoying lunch in the area.

The night included another stroll through Su He Ancient Town (涑河古镇), wrapping up with a cozy dinner back at the hotel.

Day 3: Farewell Moments 👋🏻

The final day was spent exploring Bai Sha Ancient Town (白沙古镇). After a relaxed lunch and souvenir shopping, I bid farewell to Li Jiang and caught the train back to Kunming, ending the adventure with a midnight flight back to reality.
