Hidden Gem Seaside Wooden Villa Hotel | A Photogenic Hidden Island

Sanya Boundary Island Fishing Club🏝 Bali Vibes Series🌻⏎⏎🌟🌟🌟Having visited Hainan five times, Boundary Island ranks in my top three recommendations. The only hotel on the island is called "Sanya Boundary Island Fishing Club." Although the facilities are a bit dated and the location isn't the most convenient, the moment I stepped into the room and saw the ocean view, none of that mattered anymore—it was absolutely breathtaking! The unobstructed views let you watch the waves🌊 and sunrise/sunset right from your room, making it the ultimate vacation spot⛱.⏎⏎🏖🏖🏖We visited during the off-season, so it wasn't crowded. Based on reviews, the best views are in Zone E, especially rooms E516 and E517, which offer 270-degree panoramic views. To secure our preferred room, we waited at the hotel lobby by 11 AM. Unfortunately, the guests in the two best-view rooms were extending their stay, so we settled for E512. After some exploring, we found that E512, E513, E515, E510, and E511 all face the sea with stunning views. The extra vegetation and rocks near the entrance actually added to the Bali-like resort vibe.⏎⏎🏨【Room】We booked the "Island Ocean View Villa," now renamed "Rear Sea Cliff Wooden Villa King Bed Room," priced at 720/night, which includes Boundary Island admission🎫 and round-trip ferry tickets (normally 150/person—pretty steep👀). ⚠️Staying two nights at 490/night is a better deal.⏎⏎🚘【Transport】Boundary Island is located in Lingshui Li Autonomous County, Hainan. We rented a car from Sanya and navigated to "Boundary Island Ticket Office," a 1.5-hour drive. After parking at the scenic area lot, take a 15-minute ferry🚢 to the island (operating 8 AM–6 PM). Upon arrival, the hotel shuttle will take you to your room, and staff will assist with luggage.⏎⏎🏪【Dining】The island isn’t overly touristy, but it has convenience stores, supermarkets, restaurants🍴, bars, and massage parlors. There’s a beachside BBQ with live music at night, but note that places close early.⏎⏎🚣‍♀️【Activities】Plenty to do: snorkeling🤿, freediving, scuba diving, jet skiing🛥️, seabed walking, parasailing☂️, stingray encounters, dolphin shows🐬, etc. Book online in advance or at local shops.⏎⏎👩‍🎤【Outfits】Must-haves: sunglasses🕶️, sun umbrella⛱️, straw hat, and sunscreen—it’s scorching! Swimsuits🩱 are super photogenic. Opt for blue, white, or beige dresses👗 or a tank top + shorts🩳 combo.⏎⚠️【Tips】⏎1⃣️Toiletries are subpar—bring your own!⏎2⃣️Dining options close early, and shuttle rides are required, so pack snacks.⏎3⃣️Rooms are close to the sea, so wave sounds can be loud. Light sleepers, beware! Personally, I loved being close to nature and found it amazing.
