Lombok Island is full of hidden gems, and one of the most unforgettable experiences we had was starting from Tawun Harbour and heading to some less-known, picturesque Gili islands, perfect for snorkeling. The clear waters and vibrant coral reefs made it a snorkeling paradise, with colorful marine life all around. After exploring the underwater beauty, we enjoyed a delightful lunch at Gili Sudak, where the fresh fish and seafood were absolutely delicious—a meal to remember!
Kuta, Lombok is also a must-visit with its relaxed atmosphere, stunning beaches, and a mix of adventure and tranquility. It’s a paradise for surfers and kitesurfers, with spots like Selong Belanak and Tanjung Aan offering perfect conditions for catching waves or wind. Nearby Mandalika holds the legend of Princess Mandalika, who sacrificed herself by leaping into the sea to protect her people. Her spirit is celebrated every year during the Bau Nyale festival, where locals believe the sea worms that wash ashore are her reincarnation.
Whether you’re surfing, kitesurfing, beach-hopping, or simply enjoying the laid-back vibe, Lombok offers the perfect escape.
