Starting from the Relais & Châteaux Hotel (Luoyang Railway Station Metro Station Branch), simply navigate to Butterfly Valley. This loop trail can get quite sunny, so starting your hike at 5 AM is ideal—it's cooler and you'll catch a beautiful sunrise. If you miss this window, you'll face the heat and the scenery might not be as impressive. Fortunately, the trail is mostly flat with minimal elevation changes, making it perfect for beginners.

There's so much to do here! Try the loop hike starting at Butterfly Valley, passing by Xiaolong Pool and Gongyi Mini Great Wall, and returning to Butterfly Valley—12 km in about 5 hours. For camping, navigate to Xiaolong Pool and follow the road to the rainbow path. Set up under the shady trees by the roadside for stunning views. Many camp here, and you might even spot two super-friendly monkeys joining the fun. Cycling enthusiasts will love it too—motorcycles and mountain bikes are everywhere, and there's no shortage of handsome faces.
