Visiting the Rose Church in Macau: the intersection of history and faith 🌹⛪

#macauattractions
During my trip to Macau, I am particularly looking forward to visiting the Rose Church. This historic church was founded in 1587 and was the first church of the Dominican Order in China. Initially built with wooden planks, the Rose Hall got its name because it was dedicated to Our Lady of the Rose. The locals called it "Banzheng Temple" or "Banzhang Hall".

Approaching the Rose Hall, the magnificence of the building is stunning✨. The facade of the church has four floors and a symmetrical composition. The Dominican emblem in the center of the third floor looks solemn and sacred. Entering the interior of the church, the plane is in Basilica style, and the spacious central hall and side corridors make people feel the grandeur of the space🏛️. The design of the main altar is particularly attractive. The stacked pilasters are decorated with twisted twist columns and exquisite broken mountain flowers, showing a gorgeous Baroque style. I couldn't help but stop and admire it😍.

The Rose Hall was renovated in 1997. The "Sacred Relics Storage" in the bell tower contains more than 300 precious cultural relics, which gave me a deeper understanding of its history📜. The annual parade of Our Lady of Fatima on May 13th is an important local Catholic festival, attracting countless believers and tourists to participate🎉.

This visit not only allowed me to feel the religious atmosphere of the Rose Hall, but also appreciate the rich history and culture of Macau. Standing in this century-old church, I feel a deep connection with the past, and I look forward to returning here again in the future to explore more beautiful stories🌟.

**Opening hours**: 10:00 - 18:00 📅
