Wat Pa Dara Phirom is located in Rim Tai Subdistrict, Mae Rim District. In the past, this temple was an abandoned cemetery where Phra Ajahn Man Phurithat Mahathera came to practice Dhamma and pray until a group of Buddhists were impressed and built a residence, a hut, and a pavilion to offer and named the temple "Wat Pa Wiwek Chittaram". Some call it "Wat Pa Rerai" and "Wat Pa Mae Rim".

Because the temple's land is next to the Dara Phirom Palace, the garden of Princess Dara Rasami, later the heirs of Princess Dara Rasami donated the land that was the royal area to the temple, so they gave it to the new temple as "Wat Pa Dara Phirom".

Wat Pa Dara Phirom is beautiful in terms of architecture, both the ordination hall built in Lanna art style, the principal Buddha image is a Buddha image in the meditation posture, Sukhothai art style, named "Phra Sayamphu Lokanath", the four footprints of the Buddha chedi It is the place where the replica of the Buddha's footprint and the relics of the Lord Buddha are enshrined. The pavilion of Phra Chao Tan Jai, which enshrines the Phra Buddha Ropp Chiang Saen, is built in the Lanna style of Chiang Tung.
