The houses in Jinsha Village are all made of stone. Walking through the alleys, every corner feels like a movie scene, truly captivating. Visit in the evening, and the setting sun shines on the stone walls, turning the entire village a golden hue—super romantic! 😍
The only caveat is that the paths within the village are paved with stone slabs and stairways, with uneven terrain, so wearing comfortable walking shoes is essential! Also, many of the houses are still occupied, so remember to keep your voice down while walking to avoid disturbing them. 🤫 I stayed in a guesthouse here on my first day. The guesthouse is a traditional Mindong style building, entirely made of wood, making it perfect for photo ops.
🏘️ Atmosphere/Facilities:
Jinsha was once a prosperous fishing village, hence its nickname, "Golden Sand." While there aren't as many fishing boats these days, the remaining Mindong stone houses are truly charming. You can wander freely along the village paths and explore every corner, often finding unexpected surprises. There's also a beautiful beach here called Jinsha Beach. The sand is very fine and comfortable to walk on. On nice days, many people come here to play in the waves and watch the sunset. At night, if there's no light pollution, it's also a popular spot for viewing the "Blue Tears"! ✨
The village now has a few guesthouses and cafes. After a stroll, you can find a place to sit down, enjoy a cup of coffee, and soak up the laid-back atmosphere. Local souvenirs are also quite affordable! Several bags cost 100 yuan, which is fantastic.
Admission Fee: Free.
Parking Information: There is a parking lot at the entrance of the village, but it's limited. On weekends, when it's crowded, you might need to park outside on the roadside and then walk in.
There are plenty of places to park your motorcycle, so don't worry about parking.
⚠️Tip:
There are some abandoned old houses in the village. While they look great in photos, they may not be structurally stable. Please be careful when taking photos and avoid wandering into them. Jinsha Village has some special snacks, such as Laojiu Noodles, which you can try after your visit!
🕰️ Opening Hours:
Open 24/7 (outdoor area).
