[Shimane Trip] Climb the national treasure castle and enjoy the townscape of Matsue ♪

I enjoyed a trip to Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture.

When you think of Matsue, you can't miss the national treasure Matsue Castle.

From Matsue Station, it's about 30 minutes to walk through the town to Matsue Castle.

The castle comes into view in the distance!

I'm excited and my steps are light♪

As I get closer, I'm overwhelmed by the magnificent stone walls surrounding the castle. The large stones are neatly stacked without any gaps, and it's a work of art.

I climbed the gentle stone steps and arrived at the ticket office.
I bought a ticket from the ticket machine and headed to the castle.
The admission fee was 680 yen.

When you see Matsue Castle up close, it's really impressive.
Cool! That's the perfect word to describe it.
It's a national treasure, Matsue Castle!

To climb the castle tower, you have to take off your shoes at the entrance.

You will be given a plastic bag, which you can put your shoes in and take with you when you enter.

With a slightly chilly atmosphere, we toured the castle, climbing the stairs one floor at a time until we reached the top floor!

It was a wonderful space with a 360-degree view of the town♡
It's a bit of a challenge to go up and down the stairs, but it's worth it. Please give it a try♪
