Want to take a photo with swan boats, cherry blossoms, and lake views all in one frame? Inokashira Park in Kichijoji is the perfect spot!

From late March to early April every year, 500 Somei Yoshino cherry trees bloom along the water’s edge in Inokashira Park, turning the lake surface a bright snowy white. Combined with the green grass and clear lake, it truly feels like the arrival of spring.

Boating to enjoy the cherry blossoms is another way to appreciate them. You can also ride a swan boat or have a picnic under the cherry trees, all very relaxing.

Nearby Inokashira, there’s also a popular attraction, the Ghibli Museum in Mitaka Forest, but you can’t visit without a prior reservation!
