Okinawa｜Revisiting Dolphin Theater after seven years, the wonderful performance is definitely a must-see

In addition to the wonderful exhibitions in the aquarium, the performances in the Dolphin Theater of Ocean Expo Park are not to be missed. There are only five performance periods every day: 10:30 / 11:30 / 13:00 / 15:00 / 17:00, and there is a dolphin classroom in the middle. In the small tank next to the theater, science teaching will be carried out. Dolphins can distinguish between circles and squares, and they will also find children to give instructions outside the tank and interact with dolphins.

Dolphins have extremely high IQs. Some scholars believe that they are second only to humans and are one of the smartest animals on the surface. On May 1st of this year, the dolphins Oki-chan and Muku just spent 50 years in Churaumi.

Speaking of performances, the content of the theater I watched seven years ago is slightly different from this time. It may be related to the aquarium’s updated performances, but the program content is still very exciting. In addition, starting in 2023, a new activity of feeding dolphins has been added, allowing children to get closer to dolphins.
In the open space next to the Dolphin Theater, stalls have also begun to move in. If you are hungry, you can find food and drinks here. It is definitely not a problem for the whole family to play here for a whole day.
