[Thailand] The impressive train market

Mae Klong Market is a market that is held on both sides of the tracks just before Mae Klong Station on the State Railway of Thailand.

The stalls are packed right up to the tracks, and when the announcement is made that one of the eight trains that run each day, the stalls quickly fold up their tents and put their goods away, and the train passes right by them, making it a very impressive spot!

Once the train has passed, the stalls quickly put their goods back and resume business as if nothing had happened☺️

It was originally a market for locals, selling everything from ingredients such as vegetables, fruits, meat, and fish to clothing and daily necessities, but this interesting sight has made it a very popular spot with tourists♡

It's a little far from Bangkok, at 70km, but there are plenty of optional tours available!

If you are traveling on your own, it takes 1.5 hours by taxi from Bangkok, or 2.5 hours by train☺️
