🍺Oktoberfest
When you think of Munich, you think of Oktoberfest!
A festival filled with music, smiles, and beer. 🎡🍻
We immersed ourselves in the authentic atmosphere while wearing traditional dirndls. ✨
🏛 Munich's New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus)
Munich's symbol, the New Town Hall.
We were captivated by its beautiful Gothic architecture, down to the finest details. ✨
Marienplatz was filled with the sound of the mechanical clock striking at 11:00 AM and noon (5:00 PM during the summer) and the smiles of the people.
🏛 Victory Gate (Siegestor)
The Victory Gate stood out against the blue sky.
It was raining that day, but its imposing presence was still impressive, and it was a place that really brought home Munich's history and pride.
👑 Munich Residenz (Residenz München)
We visited the Munich Residenz, a former royal palace.
The gorgeous decorations and quiet courtyard gave me a sense of the city's rich history.
It's a tranquil space that's hard to believe is in the heart of the city.
💡 Important Notes
- Hotels tend to be fully booked and prices rise during Oktoberfest, so make your reservation early!
- The U-Bahn doesn't have ticket gates, so be sure to buy and stamp your ticket before boarding!
- Tourist attractions tend to be crowded, so early morning or evening is the best time to take photos. 📷
