If you want to walk the Kumano Kodo but don’t have the time or perseverance (it takes several days to complete), I recommend taking a short walk in Nachi so you can experience the pilgrimage sentiment of the ancients.
First, take a bus from Nachi Station to Daimonzaka. Walk straight for 2 minutes after getting off the bus and you will see a stone tablet with three big characters "Damonzaka" engraved on it. Climb up the stairs from here, and you will see towering cedar trees, as if you have returned to the Edo period. There are clear signs along the way, so you don't have to worry about getting lost.
The final destination is the World Heritage Kumano Nachi Taisha Shrine, where you can pay homage and admire the waterfalls. #熊野古道 Overseas Travel
