#There seem to be quite a few foods that originated in Nagasaki. I guess it's because it was the place that accepted Western influence early on. Anyway, I went to Shianbashi in Nagasaki City and looked at Google Maps to find a restaurant. It's #Tsuruchan (#ツル茶ん) that has been in business since 1929!! It's a dish with a name that reminds me of noodles called #Dorukoraisu... It's a dish that consists of tonkatsu, Napolitan, curry rice, and a salad with cabbage as the main ingredient, all in one plate.
When you order in Japan, the portions are usually insufficient, so I ordered a double portion of Dorukoraisu... The portions are enormous. This is something that mukbang YouTubers or food fighters would do when they do a time attack. Anyway, I started tasting it, and it was a dish that brought out each flavor well. But that's all. There was no special thing like the synergy of the three foods or how they would be good when combined... I think it became famous because it was a kind of luxury to eat three Western-style foods that were newly introduced to the Japanese diet after enlightenment.
I don't leave food behind unless it's a special situation, but I couldn't finish it here. I was definitely too full to finish it, but the Nagasaki-style milkshake I ordered as an extra went down really well. I think I was emotionally unable to accept it because I was overwhelmed by the huge amount.
