Easy way to visit Wat Phra That Muang Nakhon

Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan is a temple that is a symbol of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province and is one of the most important temples in the South. It has a large white pagoda with a gold top called “Phra Borommathat Chedi” which is believed to contain the relics of the Lord Buddha.

The pagoda is over 55 meters high and has a Sri Lankan bell shape. The top is covered with real gold, reflecting the sunlight beautifully all day long.

Locals believe that if you come to pay homage, it will bring good fortune and increase your merit.

Open daily: 08.00 – 17.00 hrs.
Getting there: You can take a songthaew, a local taxi or even a motorcycle taxi because the temple is located in the city center, very convenient.
