There is a Buddha's Crown Palace on Niu Shou Mountain that looks very much like Sakyamuni.

It takes about 50 minutes to get to Niu Shou Mountain from the city center by taxi. We pre-purchased our tickets on the official mini-app. Taiwan Compatriot ID cards offer free entry, but reservations are still required and we'll need to exchange our tickets at the ticket office at the East Gate. We entered the mountain early in the morning and exited the underground palace after noon.

The general route after entering the scenic area is as follows:
① Queue for the scenic area shuttle to Tianjue Station. After getting off, take two "open-air" escalators up the mountain.
② After seeing the four characters "Buddha's Head Holy Land," continue up the mountain to see the massive Buddha's Head Palace.
③ Outside the Buddha's Head Palace, there are pools, corridors, and archways. After entering, you can first visit the Reclining Buddha or ascend the tower to view the magnificent Buddha's Head Palace from above. The Buddha's Head Palace's starry sky dome is also unique and beautifully illuminated.
④ After exiting the Reclining Buddha, follow the signs to the underground palace entrance. Be sure to wear disposable shoe covers, then take the escalator down to the fifth underground level. From there, continue your walking tour upwards. The Buddha's relics are located six levels below the ground floor of the underground palace, accessible only at designated times. The construction of the underground palace is truly remarkable, and it's worth taking a moment to admire the exquisite statues and murals.
