Miyama Kayabuki no Sato

Miyama Kayabuki no Sato (Japanese: 美山かやぶきの里) is a small settlement located in Miyama Town, Nantan City, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. It is renowned for its traditional "kayabuki" thatched-roof houses. Alongside Shirakawa-go in Gifu Prefecture and Gokayama in Toyama Prefecture, Miyama is famous for its well-preserved traditional gassho-style architecture.
