Coastal Diary // Dongping Beachcombing: The Best Place to Go Treasure Hunting.

In Dongping Town, Yangjiang City, we embarked on an exciting journey of beachcombing and gemstone hunting. We trudged through rugged terrain, each step filled with challenges and uncertainty. Climbing the cliffs was a heart-pounding experience, as we clung tightly to the rocks, each step and reach accompanied by a racing heartbeat, as if every breath was cheering us on in this adventure. But when I finally stood atop the peak, gazing down at the rarely visited, undeveloped coastline, all the fatigue and hardship vanished.

During our mountain and sea crossing, we unexpectedly encountered a scene of BAIC testing off-road vehicles halfway up the mountain, igniting the adventurous spirit within us.

Then, we took a fishing boat from Pearl Bay to a small island, walked to the foot of a stream, and began digging for sand pottery jade. Each shovel full of sand was filled with anticipation and surprise, as if the next scoop would unearth the coveted gemstone.

When we climbed onto the seaside rocks, the view was breathtaking. It was not only a perfect spot for sea fishing but also a paradise for marine life. In the distance, crabs scuttled across the rocks, as if showing off their territory; waves crashed against the rocks, bringing countless small oysters and sea shells, clinging tightly to the rocks, shimmering with enticing light, like precious treasures bestowed upon us by nature.

In the evening, we gathered around to enjoy a fresh seafood feast. The delicious taste transported us back to that mysterious sea, allowing us to once again experience the joy and charm of beachcombing. In this mysterious sea, we not only encountered various marine creatures but also gained endless laughter and memories.
