We went to Gokayama, a place of breathtaking views!

Gokayama is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its buildings, designated as important cultural properties by the national government, harmonize with the tranquil mountain village scenery. In Gokayama, you can see the original Japanese scenery of old, thatched-roof gassho-style buildings, rice fields, stone walls, and snow-holding forests to protect against avalanches, which have been ingeniously designed to adapt to the harsh natural environment. You can also enjoy the changing seasonal scenery of Toyama Prefecture's rich nature.
The dishes made with Gokayama tofu, wild vegetables, soba noodles, and river fish are delicious 😋#gassho-style
