Naoshima, the island of art

Naoshima, located in the Seto Inland Sea to the north of Kagawa Prefecture, is an art space that covers the entire island.

When you get off the ferry, you will be greeted by a giant pumpkin sculpture created by Yayoi Kusama.

The Chichu Art Museum is mostly underground.

It was designed by Tadao Ando.

In the museum, you can view works by Claude Monet, Walter de Maria, James Turrell, and others.

The contrast of light and shadow is a sight that can only be seen underground.

About 50 minutes by ferry from Takamatsu

Please use the local buses and regular tourist buses on the island.
