If you have a plan to visit Jiufen, I would like to recommend you to try Shifen. Both the Old Street and the waterfall. But today, we will recommend #shifen waterfall.

How to get there:
🚈 Local train, which can be taken from Wanhua / Taipei Main Station / Songshan and change trains at Ruifang Station to Shifen Station.

*Recommendations
1. Many tourists get off at Dahua Station (one station before Shifen Station) and walk to the waterfall. But be warned that "there is no walkway and it is very dangerous because you have to walk on the train tracks." You have to try it at Shifen Station only and then walk back.
2. The distance from the station to the waterfall does not take long (about 1 km). We can stop to take pictures along the way.
3. Saturday-Sunday There might be a lot of people, both on the train and at the waterfall. If possible, it is best to go on a weekday.
4. It is recommended to check the weather before going. If it rains, the trip will not be fun.
5. If you haven't eaten anything yet, it is recommended to eat from Old Street or buy some from Family Mart along the way. Although there are shops at the waterfall, the prices are a bit high.
