[Taiwan] A popular spot for flying lanterns [Shifen]

This time, I will introduce Shifen in Taiwan. I experienced lantern-flying.
At a shop along the railway line, I chose a lantern of my favorite color, wrote a wish on each side, and released it into the sky.
As I watched the lantern slowly rise into the blue sky, I put my hands together, praying that my wish would come true.
The surrounding area has a retro atmosphere with old-fashioned stations and souvenir shops lined up, making it fun to stroll around.

After that, I also went to Shifen Waterfall.
The wide, spectacular waterfall is also known as the "Niagara of Taiwan" and is very impressive! There is a promenade, so you can view the waterfall from various angles.
It was a very satisfying day, being able to enjoy the cultural experience unique to Shifen while being soothed by nature.
I recommend it as it can be done as a day trip from Taipei.
