Shifen is another tourist destination in Taiwan. While it's outside the city, it's still easily accessible. You'll find beautiful nature along the railroad tracks, delicious food, and fun activities.

🎈The first popular activity is releasing sky lanterns, a signature feature of this area. Lantern shops line both sides of the tracks, and the lantern launching point is right on the tracks. There are people taking photos and videos.

🎈Walk through the beautiful nature, as the village is located next to the Keelung River. Another check-in point is the beautiful suspension bridge. For those who enjoy hiking, you can also walk to Shifen Waterfall.

🎈Hunt for delicious food along the railroad tracks at Shifen Old Street. Don't worry about hunger, as there are a variety of restaurants and street food stalls. A must-try is the chicken wings stuffed with sticky rice, which are incredibly flavorful.

🚉 From Taipei Station, take the TRA to Ruifang Station, then transfer to the Pingxi Line to Shifen Station.
🚗If you're traveling by car, we recommend renting a car with a driver, as the roads are narrow and difficult to find parking.
