The former residence of Toda Rongji is located in Ma Kai Street, Tamsui District, New Taipei City. Originally the residence of Toda Eikichi, the head of Freshwater Street during the Japanese colonial period, it retains the rich Japanese Showa period style, including details such as Japanese courtyard, wooden roof, slumped floor and elegant window grilles.

From Tamsui MRT Station, walk along Tamsui Old Street to Mackay Street, through the lively neighborhood, to the former residence of Toda Rongji.
