Jiufen, a Cloudy Landscape from the Village Top

Walking up the narrow alleys and quaint Jiufen village, you find yourself out of breath, but your gaze naturally turns upward. Upon reaching the village peak, the landscape, previously glimpsed through the narrow alleyways, unfolds before you.

Fog and clouds envelop the mountains and village, creating a mystical atmosphere. Shops with red lanterns twinkle quietly, and below them, the houses huddled together like miniatures. The landscape, stretching out to the distant sea, resembles a scene from a sumi-e painting, making it difficult to discern reality or a dream.

A gentle breeze disperses the fog, revealing a new landscape. The fleeting shifts in color and light of the mountains, sea, and clouds are a magical experience unique to Jiufen. The beauty of the scene continues, far beyond the scope of a camera, and I simply capture it with my eyes and heart.

As you linger atop the village, gazing at the harmonious landscape of sky, mountains, and village, you realize that Jiufen is not just a tourist destination, but a work of art created by nature and man. Even on the way down, your steps are light, yet you feel a sense of anticipation that this scenery will linger in your heart for a long time.

If Jiufen at night is a fantasy, then daytime is even more fantastic.
