Real Experience of Jingpo Lake + Pitfall Avoidance Guide: Is It Worth Visiting?

Diaoshuilou Waterfall is a must-see! Although I missed the peak water flow, it was still stunning~ The diving show is difficult but the entertainment value is average, yet since "I'm already here," it's worth checking out😉

Many people previously said Jingpo Lake is boring and not worth the ticket price, but as a 5A scenic spot close to my hometown, I still came! Actual feeling: As the second largest high mountain barrier lake, the scenery surrounded by mountains is really beautiful~ However, besides the waterfall and the lake, derivative attractions like Ningguta and Bohai Garden are quite ordinary.

⚠️Pitfall Tips:

If you don't take the boat tour, the 100 yuan ticket only allows you to see the waterfall and the lakeside around the dock, which is not cost-effective! Jingpo Lake is actually not suitable for a quick visit, but more for a vacation—it's recommended to stay by the lake and slowly enjoy the scenery.

Compared to Erhai Lake (surrounded by Cangshan Mountain, free + well developed), Jingpo Lake, as a world geopark, has limited development and transportation is not very friendly for non-self-driving tourists. But if you love natural landscapes, it still has unique charm~
