Yesterday we talked about the hiking experience deep in the bamboo forest, today let's talk about the Jiulong Lake hiking route around the lake and the specific experience. After all, between the mountains and waters, there are always big mountains and big lakes connected together.
Compared to the mountain route, this lake route is quite relaxing. Let's talk about the highlights of the route first
1️⃣ The entire route is paved, with no elevation changes, making it very easy
2️⃣ The scenery along the way is extremely beautiful, mainly because Jiulong Lake is quite large, and the view of the entire lake is magnificent, as you can see from the photos I took on site
3️⃣ What if you can't walk anymore? The scenic area has thoughtfully prepared electric cars and bicycles for rent, which are a bit expensive, but otherwise no problem
4️⃣ There are supply points along the way where you can buy water and food
5️⃣ At the end of the route, there is a cruise ship that goes to Monkey Island, and there is also a children's playground for fun
Now let's talk about the route:
The entire route starts from Jiulong Lake Wetland Park and ends at the cruise ship terminal in the resort area. The total length is about 4.5 kilometers, and the whole route is paved with asphalt, with some sections having rubber tracks. You can see the route on the last picture. The whole way is a waterfront platform with beautiful scenery, and if there are clouds and mist, it will make Jiulong Mountain even more beautiful.
⚠️ Precautions:
1️⃣ You cannot bring your own non-motorized vehicles 🚲, if needed, you can rent one from the scenic area
2️⃣ The end point is quite far from the starting point, and there is a bus at the end point that can take you back to the starting point
3️⃣ The scenic area's shuttle bus only sells round-trip tickets, not one-way tickets, and the round-trip ticket is 20 yuan per person
4️⃣ There is a cruise ship at the end point, which can take you to Monkey Island
Alright, that's all for today's hiking trip, we'll talk about the scenery of Jiulong Lake tomorrow.
