This place is nicknamed 'The Paradise of Hot Springs' for a reason. Just a short trip away from the city, you'll find yourself in Jigokudani (Hell Valley), where steaming hot springs create a surreal landscape that feels like the Earth's energy is alive and breathing.
Noboribetsu offers a variety of hot spring waters, from sulfur springs that are great for your skin to iron-rich springs that help relieve fatigue. In the Noboribetsu Onsen Village, you'll even find small foot baths in front of inns, perfect for a quick soak and rest while strolling around.
There are plenty of ryokans (traditional Japanese inns) in the area, so staying overnight and enjoying an open-air bath is highly recommended!
