Sala Kaew Ku, Nong Khai Province is a large stucco sculpture garden covering an area of several tens of rai. It is currently under the care of the Nong Khai Buddhist Association. This place was built from the inspiration of “Father Boonluea Sureerat” around 1978, based on the belief that the teachings of all religions can be combined (“Father Boonluea Sureerat” was a practitioner who passed away about ten years ago).
Sala Kaew Ku is like a place that is similar to an outdoor museum displaying religious sculptures. This was inspired by Luang Pu Boonluea Sureerat, who built this place around 1978, based on the belief that the teachings of all religions can be combined. This large and magnificent sculpture includes various postures of Buddha, Hindu gods, Christian statues, and statues telling stories of the Ramayana and local legends.
