Lijiang Ancient Town and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain are probably the most famous scenic spots and landmarks in Yunnan!

When traveling to Yunnan, you must not miss a visit to Lijiang. This famous historical and cultural city in China and a 5A-level tourist attraction is very famous. I have a special impression of Lijiang because of the TV series "Mu Mansion", so I made a special trip to visit it during this trip to Yunnan.

Lijiang Ancient Town is located in the middle of Lijiang Basin, with an altitude of more than 2,400 meters. It has the advantage of being backed by mountains to avoid the cold, storing wind and gathering energy, and it is like spring all year round.

The ancient city’s buildings are simple courtyard houses, with flowers and trees of all seasons, flowing water under small bridges, and simple folk customs, forming a beautiful harmony between man and nature.

Walking on the bluestone pavement of the ancient city, you can slowly appreciate the pink walls and black tiles of the buildings on both sides of the alleys, which have a strong sense of history.

However, the tourism development of Lijiang Ancient Town is a bit over-developed. There are modern restaurants and bars everywhere, and the tourists are coming in an endless stream, which has somewhat destroyed the quiet feeling of the ancient town.
