🦕Tennoji Zoo in Osaka

We visited Tennoji Zoo during our stay in Osaka, and it was a nice and relaxing stop in the middle of the busy city. The zoo is pretty easy to reach, located right near Tennoji Station and Shinsekai, so it’s convenient to combine with other nearby attractions.

The zoo has a good variety of animals, including lions, elephants, giraffes, and red pandas. We also enjoyed walking through the park area — it’s quite spacious, with plenty of shade and places to sit. It’s a great place for families and couples who want a calm few hours surrounded by nature and animals.

That said, some of the animal enclosures felt a bit small and older, and parts of the zoo could use a little updating. Still, the staff seemed caring, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming.

The entrance fee is very affordable, which makes it worth a visit if you’re already in the area. After the zoo, we also walked around Tennoji Park and Shinsekai, which added to the experience.

Overall, Tennoji Zoo is a pleasant and easy-going place to spend a few hours — not huge or modern like some others, but full of charm and history in the heart of Osaka. 🐼🌿
