🌸 A Sea of Pink – Higashimokoto Shibazakura Park in Full Bloom

Visiting Higashimokoto Shibazakura Park was like walking into a dream. I had seen photos before, but nothing quite prepares you for the sea of pink moss phlox (shibazakura) that stretches across the rolling hills like a floral carpet. We were lucky—it was peak season, and the vibrant shades of pink, magenta, and white were absolutely breathtaking.

The scent of the flowers lightly perfumed the air, and the gentle slopes made it easy to wander around and take in the views from different angles. There’s a small shrine perched on a hill that offers a panoramic view of the entire park—don’t miss that spot! It was peaceful, quiet, and incredibly photogenic.

There were also little food stalls around the entrance selling local snacks and soft-serve ice cream (yes, we got the pink shibazakura flavor—just had to!). Everything about the place felt calm and charming.

If you’re in Hokkaido during the blooming season, this park is a must-see. It’s not just the flowers—it’s the atmosphere, the colors, the crisp air, and that feeling of being completely immersed in nature’s beauty.
