Tiger’s Nest (Taktsang) hike.

The Tiger’s Nest Monastery, or Taktsang, is Bhutan’s most iconic landmark, dramatically perched on a cliffside at 3,120 meters above sea level. The hike begins near Paro at around 2,250 meters and takes about 4–5 hours round trip through beautiful pine forests, fluttering prayer flags, and breathtaking viewpoints. Considered a sacred pilgrimage site, it is believed that Guru Padmasambhava meditated here in the 8th century. Reaching the monastery is both a spiritual and rewarding experience, offering stunning views of the Paro Valley and an unforgettable highlight of any Bhutan journey.
