Finally made it to Penang! 🙌 I’m here to share my super chill, laid-back itinerary that mixes delicious food, local culture, and plenty of walking around the charming George Town. Here’s the scoop:
Getting to Penang:
I decided to take the train and ferry combo from Kuala Lumpur, which took about 4 hours. I’d recommend using the KTMB app—it’s easy, timely, and you get to enjoy some nice views along the way. 🚆⛴️
If you’re in a hurry, you can also hop on a bus (Redbus) or take a flight for quicker options.
Getting Around in Penang:
Grab is your best friend when it comes to getting around—super cheap and convenient! 🚗
For budget travel, Rapid Penang buses are a solid option for getting around the city. 🚌
If you’re feeling adventurous, you can rent a motorbike or bike to explore the streets of George Town, just make sure to drive safely! 🏍️
But honestly, the best way to see the beauty of George Town is on foot! The old town is compact and packed with cool spots to discover. I averaged 20,000 steps a day, and it was totally worth it! 👟💙
