It is a temple in the Ayutthaya Historical Park. It is a temple that enshrines the royal relics in the heart of the city. Wat Mahathat is located in the Ayutthaya Historical Park, near Wat Ratchaburana. and is a royal temple built during the reign of King Borommarachathirat I, Khun Luang Pha Ngua, around the year 1917, but at that time it was not yet fully completed. He passed away before it could be completed. After that, there were additions made until it was completed during the reign of King Ramesuan, who ordered the construction of the main prang.
