Wat Kasatrathirat Worawihan, Ayutthaya Province
🙏🙏It is an ancient temple from the Ayutthaya period. It is located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, outside the city island, opposite the Phra Si Suriyothai Chedi. It is a temple of the king, but there is no evidence of who built it. People often go there to pray for mercy and popularity, as well as to enhance their charisma in their careers.
🌿🪷The ordination hall enshrines the “Phra Phuttha Kasatrathirat” statue, which is 2.99 meters high and 2.09 meters wide at the base. It is situated on a pedestal base in a sitting position, cross-legged in the Mara-Vijaya posture. Its face is square. The ceiling is decorated with gold patterns of royal patterns, round flowers, and alms bowls, alternating at intervals on a red background. The ceiling is decorated with gilded wood and the floor is covered with marble from Italy, bestowed by King Rama V.
🙏🪷Phra Phuttha Chana Mar is enshrined in front of Phra Phuttha Kasatrathirat. People often go there to wrap themselves in a robe and pray for happiness, good fortune, and prosperity in business. There are no obstacles to hinder them.
🙏🌿The standing Buddha statue in the eye-giving and blessing poses is enshrined in the northern chapel in a glass pavilion. In front is a replica of the Buddha's footprint.
🙏🌷The corn-shaped prang is 22 meters and 60 centimeters high and contains the Buddha's relics. It is the main structure of the temple.
🙏🪷The southern chapel has a statue of Luang Pu Thiam Siripanno or Phra Wisutthacharather, a famous monk from the old capital. He was a former abbot who was famous for his invulnerability and kindness amulets, and a statue of Somdej Phra Phannarat, the teacher of Somdej Phra Naresuan the Great.
