Introducing Ayuttha

Ayu Pagoda is located near the world-famous site of the "Longyuankou Victory" in Longyuankou Town, Yongxin County, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, a few hundred meters from the Longyuankou Reservoir. The pagoda resembles a pagoda, yet it is not. It is not a pagoda because it is essentially a towering, abruptly rising rock peak; it is a pagoda because its shape resembles a pagoda, and a pagoda is built on top of it.

Ayuttha is a breathtaking natural wonder, a rare sight in China. A visitor can imagine Zhu De leading the Red Army in bloody battles, machine gun in hand. The beautiful melody of the revolutionary ballad, "May marks the Dragon Boat Festival, the battlefield at the foot of Qixi Ridge. The Red Army effortlessly defeats the two Yangs of Jiangxi," rings in their ears. The blazing flames of battle have been transformed into fiery red azaleas, lushly covering the mountains and plains, like flaming clouds swaying in the wind.

Ayuttha is a towering, towering rock formation, 180 meters high and approximately 1,000 meters in circumference. It is a truly spectacular sight. Its shape resembles a bamboo shoot emerging from the ground, its steep cliffs seemingly carved by a magical axe, towering tall and majestic. The Zangjiang Dragon flows east to west past it. Where it meets the mountain ridge, a secluded natural path leads directly to the mountainside; this is the only way to the tower.

Climate and best time to travel

The subtropical monsoon humid climate makes it suitable for travel in all four seasons.

Recommended number of days and locations for visiting

Five meditation rooms are built on the mountainside, originally the residence of the monks in charge of incense offerings. The tower is entwined with vines and scattered trees, and visitors can climb up using iron chains along the cliff face. Attached to the chain is an iron plaque inscribed with the words: "On the auspicious day of the winter month of the Bingxu year of the Guangxu reign, the wife of Wu Chajiu of the 56th District of Xixiang, Yin, and his nephew Guangqing respectfully presented this." Atop the tower stands a small temple, facing south. Because of the strong winds at this height, the roof tiles are made of iron, and a cast pavilion above was donated by believers during the Qing Dynasty. Behind the temple gate is a sun-viewing platform. Standing there, one can see mist rising and swirling before them. A waterfall roars down from a sheer cliff, rumbling like a huge bell in the shade of the valley, instantly refreshing and unforgettable.
