Adventures in Phrae: This trip was full of laughter (and sweat) 🤣
Hello everyone! Today, we'll be taking a tour of the charming (and heat-filled... but we'll ignore that 😅) small town of "Phrae"! Get ready, because this trip is full of high-octane events that will leave me clutching my head... but also laughing so hard my stomach hurts!
We started at "Khum Chao Luang." Everyone said it was a must-see! So, I went for it. When we arrived...wow! It was so beautiful and magnificent, it felt like something out of a period drama. But what was even more amazing was when we saw a group of aunties doing aerobics in front of the house! My gang followed suit and did a few moves, instantly becoming the soft power of the tour! 💃🕺
Then, we continued on to
"Wat Phra That Cho Hae," a temple that has been a staple of Phrae's history. The atmosphere was so majestic...until my friend tripped and almost fell in front of the chedi! Luckily, he was able to keep his balance, or else he would have become a new legend for the temple! 🙏 (I feel a little sorry for him. But I couldn't stop laughing.)
The afternoon sun was blazing hot, but I was still in the mood! We decided to brave the sun at
"Pae Muang Phi National Park." The name was already scary enough, right? When we got there... we were surrounded by oddly shaped rocks, like giant natural slides. My friend and I had fun climbing up and down, but after coming down, it felt like we'd been working out for three days straight! We were covered in sweat, like we'd been in a sauna! 🥵 But it was worth it! We got tons of cool photos to show off! 📸
For dinner, we had to go all out! We ate a variety of local Phrae food! One dish was called
"Hung Lay Curry." It was so good...but so spicy it made our eyes water. The staff had to keep refilling our water, as if they were afraid we'd choke! 😂 This was an unforgettable dining experience!
Before heading back, we stopped by the market to buy souvenirs! We bought several beautiful local fabrics! But the highlight was a shop selling antique toys that were still in existence. My friend and I each bought a toy from the 90s, so we had so much fun we forgot how old we were! 👵👴
In short, this trip to Phrae was "worth it!" Despite some sweat and some hilarious moments, I was able to fully experience the city's charm. Most importantly, I got to spend time with my friends! If you're looking for a chilled-out getaway with plenty of laughs along the way, Phrae is the place for you!
