Wat Chaithararam (Wat Chalong)

📍..Wat Chalong is an ancient temple of Phuket Province. It is located in Village 6, Chao Fa West Road, Tambon Chalong, Mueang District, Phuket Province, approximately 8 kilometers from Mueang Phuket District.

📒..There is no clear evidence of when Wat Chalong was built, but the name of Wat Chalong appears in the records of King Rama III. Later, during the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V), the name of Wat Chalong was changed to "Wat Chaithararam".

🗒️..When visiting Wat Chalong, you must not miss paying homage to Luang Pho Chaem or Phra Khru Wisutthiwongsachan Yanamuni, a famous monk who is highly respected by the people of Phuket in terms of healing and compassion. He is a monk with knowledge in herbal medicine and treating diseases, and putting casts on patients with broken bones.
