I'm not saying, you really have to go to Qionghai to eat hot spring goose...

Visiting Qionghai and not trying Fu Xiaoguan is like missing out on a slice of Hainan's vibrant flavors! This 30-year-old restaurant embodies the authentic flavors locals have enjoyed since childhood, and it's bustling with diners as soon as lunchtime arrives.
The signature hot spring roast goose is a must-try! The glossy, reddish-brown goose skin is incredibly crispy, while the meat is firm yet juicy. The unique ice-fire method is truly stunning—dip it in the scalding marinade and then simmer it in icy ginger, creating a thrilling clash of hot and cold. The accompanying blanched goose intestines are crispy and chewy, while the pan-fried goose liver is rich and fatty, bringing out the full flavor of the goose.
The side dishes are equally impressive: the stone-pot black tofu is rich in soy aroma, sizzling in the wok and remaining tender and smooth. The pan-fried tofu, richly in spices and served with freshly ground pepper, is both warming and appetizing. Add the goose fat rice balls, and the aroma of woodsmoke mingles with the goose fat for a carb-filled treat.
The restaurant boasts Hainanese-style decor, with wooden tables and chairs accented by greenery. It's spacious and offers private rooms, and convenient parking for those driving. For just 50 or 60 yuan per person, you can eat your fill, making it a fantastic value. A word of caution: be sure to visit during off-peak hours, or you'll be waiting in line for the delicious food!
