Stuck Between Seasons

Lower Kolsai Lake in early spring is like something out of a fairytale. When I visited, the lake was still partially frozen—its surface a mix of icy white and deep, glacial blue, quietly shifting as the season changed. Snow clung to the pine-covered slopes surrounding it, and the towering mountains in the distance looked almost unreal against the pale sky. Wooden pathways curved gently around parts of the shoreline, making it easy to walk and take in the views without disturbing the landscape. Each step offered a new perspective—sparkling water, frozen edges, and the quiet beauty of nature slowly waking up from winter.
