The pagoda in the middle of the water

Pay homage to the pagoda located on an island in the middle of the Rayong River. It is like a symbol of Rayong Province. It is located at Ban Pak Nam, Tambon Pak Nam, Amphoe Mueang Rayong. It was built by Phraya Si Samut Phokchai Chok Chitsongkhram (Ket Yomchinda) in 1873. It is currently under the care of Wat Pak Nam. It is said that in the past, this pagoda was used as a symbol to inform sailors that they had arrived in Rayong Province. Today, there are still traditional events such as wrapping cloth around the pagoda, long-boat racing, and Loi Krathong festivals held on the full moon day of the twelfth lunar month every year. In addition, nearby is the Phra Chedi Klang Nam Mangrove Forest Learning Center. There is also a nature study trail for the mangrove forest to walk through. It is a must-see attraction in Rayong.
