Road Trip Dolomites East Coast

Here's a 3-day, 2-night itinerary for the eastern Dolomites. Begin:

We'll start from Vanich.

☀️Day 1: Giau Pass – Cortina d'Ampezzo
- Depart early to Giau Pass, a scenic spot with stunning Dolomites views and mountains. There are plenty of photo spots along the way.
- Drive to Cortina d'Ampezzo, a resort town nestled in the valley. Stroll around town, enjoy a meal at a local cafe or restaurant, and stay overnight in Cortina.

☀️Day 2: Lago di Misurina – Cadini Group – Tre Cime
- Drive from Cortina to Lago di Misurina, a famous lake. Beautiful scenery
- Then, park near Rifugio Auronzo (reservations required during peak season) to begin the hike.
- Main route: Walk to the Cadini di Misurina viewpoint (an iconic photo spot), then hike the Tre Cime di Lavaredo loop (approximately 10 km, 3-4 hours). There are mountainside restaurants along the way for lunch.
- If time permits, stop by Lago d'Antorno or walk around Misurina again. Return to your accommodation for the night in Cortina or Misurina.

☀️Day 3: Lake Braies
- Leave your accommodation early and drive to Lake Braies (approximately 1 hour from Cortina).
- It's recommended to arrive before 9:00 AM for easy parking and to see the lake while it's less crowded.
- Walk around the lake or rent a rowboat on the lake to take photos of the famous scenery.
- If time permits, stop by the charming village of San Candido or Lago di Dobbiaco before heading to the left bank of the Dolomites (continued in Part 2).
