[Niigata] Japan's largest gold and silver mine! Sado Gold Mine ruins

Sado Gold Mine is a gold mine that is said to have been opened in 1601.

Unfortunately, it ceased operations in March 1989 due to resource depletion, but it has a long history spanning nearly 400 years.

When you enter the mine, you can see exhibits showing the state of gold mining at the time, so you can get a feel for what it was like back then 😌
