The park where a deer turned its head… …and I almost broke my neck from the insane views! 😅

Luhuitou Scenic Area (a.k.a. "Deer Turns Its Head Park") sits atop a 275-meter mountain in Sanya.

✨ The legend goes:
A young hunter, A Hei, chased a deer for 9 days and nights. At the cliff’s edge, the deer turned back… and transformed into a girl! 💫 They fell in love, and their kids became the ancestors of the Li people.

To honor the story, there’s a 12-meter statue of the deer glancing back, plus figures of the hunter and girl in traditional clothes. 👫🦌

The park’s small—you can loop it in 1 hour, snap pics, grab ice cream 🍦, and soak in the views without rushing.

Just show your passport (or a photo of it) to get a ticket.

Hike up 🥾 or zip up in an electric buggy for 28 yuan (round trip!).

🔖 Buses 55, 125, 482, 254 stop right at the entrance (stop: 鹿回头景区).
